It was written in the late 60s and early 70s by German philosopher Niklas Luhmann and only published in English in 2017. I feel this book was written for #nostr and #bitcoin. The gist of the book is that trust is all about reducing complexity. Luhmann takes great pains to eliminate 'moral intrusion' in his analysis, which he cites as a major criticism of the social sciences (they have become moral ideologies as opposed to sciences). I am hoping that better-equipped people from #resistancemoney will have a look and give a more-informed take than mine.
