It was a late start for us with our flight being delayed by 2 hours. Upon arrival to Hoi An, we walked to the old quarter. It was a nice change from Hanoi as no scooters and cars are allowed in the area. There were many tailors, ready to make you a custom outfit within 24 hours. Hoi An is also known for their leather goods and you can also get custom made shoes in 24 hours. We finally tried the Vietnamese bubble tea. Tim's bubble tea contained slabs of cherry jello, while mine contained huge peach chunks. The old town was quite picturesque in the evening with lanterns lit everywhere. For dinner, we decided to try the crispy fried noodles with beef and vegetables. It wasn't my favorite, as it kind of looked and tasted like our dry ramen noodles.Tim didn't mind it as much.
