It’s very simple - Bitcoin has no concept of ‘price’ and ‘ownership’ - those traits are ascribed to Bitcoin by users like you and me, who have paid a ‘price’ to ‘own’ some bitcoin.
Paying a ‘price’ for new Bitcoin comes in only one way - proof of work; the schedule was set out starting with the Genesis block. ‘Price’ for existing bitcoin is negotiated entirely outside of the system, either a price set between two parties or a price offered on an exchange.
As for ‘ownership’ - the concept does not exist in Bitcoin- only proof of possession, which is mathematically upheld by private and public keys.
The true genius of Bitcoin, in the words of the philosopher Niklas Luhmann, is that the system was successful in externalizing moral judgment (pricing) outside of the system.
