When we travelled in Vietnam and visited the French Villa in Ba Na Hills (photo below), I realized that building architecture is little more than a spiritual ruse. If you want to get a feeling for the spiritual essence of Notre Dame (at a scale suited for Instagram photos), this is the place to go. I am not criticizing; all I am saying be wary of what you celebrate and embrace to an expression of yourself. You might discover that what you believe is deeply spiritual is just a facade over an empty space propped up by steel girders.
