Another nugget from a mailing list. People are starting to recognize the problem that #nostr so elegantly fixes




Certificates as used in practice actually conflate authentication and a degree of authorization and that is one of the reasons the model is so useful in practice. But that model doesn't really map well to distribution of keys to natural persons who may live in the >80% of the world that does not have strong government identity infrastructure. And even for those that do have such credentials, they may prefer to use multiple personas.
